COMSOL is a finite element analysis software capable of simulating problems involving multiphysics phenomena. Each of the physics modules available in COMSOL is categorized according to their application areas, each of which is equipped with excellent user interfaces.

Physics Modules available: 

• CFD module: Used for modelling mechanical systems involving sophisticated fluid flow.
• Corrosion module: Capability to investigate the chemical processes leading to corrosion, gain an understanding of the extent to which corrosion could occur over the lifetime of a structure, and implement preventative measures to inhibit electrochemical corrosion, in order to protect the structures.
• Heat Transfer module: Used to model problems involving heat transfer in the form of conduction, convection and radiation.
• Fatigue module: Used to carry out fatigue analysis of solid structures.
• Structural mechanics module: Static and dynamic analysis of mechanical structures subjected to static, transient as well as dynamic loading can be performed.
