High temperature fatigue testing systems include Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF), Thermomechanical Fatigue (TMF) and Electro-Thermal Mechanical Testing (ETMT) systems. LCF systems assess the performance of materials at elevated isothermal conditions when subjected to high loads and plastic deformations.
The stereo microscope is used for optical/light microscopy of metallographic specimens.
Ultrasonic spotwelding is used predominantly when, for instance, flat mouldings without weld preparation (ED) have to be welded (e.g. semi-finished products, thermoformed, blow moulded, extruded and large-surface mouldings).
A non-destructive microscopic technology suitable for in-depth study of materials that may not be seen via SEM and AFM.
